BACK TO COMPLETE HOME RENOVATION PICTURES

The big mirror has been taken out.

This is the first picture taken of the upstairs bathroom when we came to look at the  house in December 2007.

Looks like Lester is disconnecting the water hoses.

Vanity has been taken outside to the porch so I can start sanding it.

The vanity wood is birch and is in pretty good shape, so I have taken on the task of sanding it down and restaining it. We will see how it turns out.

We will do away with the toilet topper as we did in the downstairs bathroom. Makes the bathroom look bigger.

I think Lester must be contemplating taking the vanity outside. I do help him when it comes to carrying stuff out.

This fixture looks like an Oak fixture, but it's actually oak-looking plastic. I will be replacing it with one like the downstairs bathroom, except it will have four lights.

Lester has started removing the tile.

We will be replacing the sheetrock around the tub with backer board.

Lester had to replace all the plumbing to accommodate updated hardware for the shower.

We have a new window going in. Lester is getting ready to go outside and take this window out.

Up comes the linoleum.

Sheetrock removed around the tub.

We replaced this baseboard heater with a new white one.

Well, here I am moving along with my sanding project. I was surprised at how good the wood looked after getting the old stain off.

Lester is removing the old bathroom window

.

Lester had to replace all the old piping to accommodate updated shower hardware. With the exception of the copper piping - it's all new.

The new window is in!

The old bathtub has been removed.

Hole cut out for new mirror.

Our $200 granite slab - what a deal!

THE BEFORE!!
