The Photo Gallery

This property looked pretty bad when we bought it. It had sat empty as a short sale for three years.

The RV had to stay in the driveway until we had a big pine tree removed on the side of the house. I couldn't wait to start cleaning up the property and start landscaping which is something I love to do!

This tree was right where part of the driveway was and needed to come out so we could widen the driveway to match the concrete part of the driveway.

Tree removed, landscaping in, new gravel in the driveway.

Another tree to be taken out.

Lester moved the gravel walkway over and I landscaped both sides.
I so enjoyed landscaping the front yard!

This is what the property looked like when we bought it. It had sat empty for three years.

We moved the gravel path over. It was originally next to the cement border.

The grass is coming up and getting green! Repurposed the iris that was on the left side of the house along with some other iris given to me.  I think I cleaned up, cut and replanted approximately 200 iris. Not sure what colors I have...I know there is a mix.

We took out a huge pine tree on the right of the driveway which was actually in line with the concrete part which allowed us to extend the width of the driveway to match the concrete and then had new gravel brought in.

We had about 15 quail come in our back yard!

Guest Bathroom
We still have some more work to do in this bathroom. We're going to replace the laminate counter top with granite and replace the mirror and not sure yet what else. Still need to hang pictures and put up wall sconces and candles.

March 12, 2011 - When we first came to see the house. Lester and I definitely had a vision of what it could be...as seen below!

This cement slab was slanted back toward the house and needed to come out. Lester sledge hammered it out..

Lester pouring the slab for my jacuzzi.

The composite decking is going on!

We took out the planter bed on the left to make more room. At some point we are going to put in pavers to extend our patio area.

Most plants I planted are perennials and will go down to
-20 degrees. The flowers (Vinca and Impatiens - annuals) I will plant again when the snow melts.

August 24, 2011 - and we're still working on this area.

I love waterfalls, but they are really expensive. This one came from Walmart. We were in there one day and they had it marked down from $168 to $118. Still too much. The next day we came back for something else and it was marked down to $75. I bought it!

This is 1 of 2 carts I got at a garage sale for $5.00

My little bird bath I found at a garage sale for $15.00 -- they generally run around $100

This little tricycle plant holder I got at a garage sale for $.50!
Love those garage sales..

We have seen only this one little squirrel on our property...I guess he found a source of water.

We have a little bird bath that sometimes there are 5-6 birds in it bathing and drinking..

This faucet had a leak we couldn't stop so had to replace it. Haven't gotten around to renovating kitchen yet.
